2nd, tell me more about this snake.
That's Mojo - a 4,400 gram (almost 10 pound) black tail cribo. He's about 7 years old and probably in the neighborhood of 7.5 to 8 feet long - I haven't measured him for awhile.
He's quite docile out of the cage but can be cage aggressive if he's having a bad day. He is easy to remove from his cage if he is in his hide box. He is aggressive with people he doesn't know and will often puff out and grunt at strangers while I am holding him. He is fine with my kids and the dog - but again strangers agitate him. His behavior with people he doesn't know borders on being a bully. He knows he's big, he knows he's bad and he knows he's intimidating and he seems to enjoy putting newcomers on edge.
He seems to remember the Vet and upon seeing her, will puff his throat to it's fullest extent and give her a nasty grunt.
He is a vocal cuss and in addition to grunting, will huff and hiss as he sees fit. He's a smart one too - he poops in the same corner of his cage and comes out to greet me when I enter the snake house.
He eats 2 small rats per week and I switch every few months with chicken parts, beef heart, salmon and trout.
He likes to explore the lawn during the spring, summer and fall - nosing around the flower beds and hedges. On colder days he crawls inside my shirt and pokes only his head out of the collar while I take out the garbage cans, get the mail or pick up dog poop.
I'll post some more pics later..........

Re: Now that's black tail.
Know any breeders of those that sell online? Or are located in Texas?
