You should be able to get a bumblebee and two codominant females for about $1200. Look for a cinnamon, mojave or pastel female. In any case, add a few females to your stable. Maybe get spider, pinstripe, pastel, cinnamon and mojave females. That will give your boys a lot of options and more clutches. Might be worth it to get two or three 1500+ gram females, in combination with some '09 morph females, to get some clutches going now. They're a great bang for the buck and it will get you in the process sooner. You should be able to produce some females to holdback and some to sell.

Ive seen female lemon blasts for 700 on the cheap side and i know ppl who have gotten bees for under 400. As a package deal you might even get them for 1k. They prob wont be the greatest examples of the morphs, but its possible.

It's a nice concept but double-morph females aren't as valuable to someone on a limited budget. Instead of getting a bumblebee and a lemon blast, I would suggest that a spider, pinstripe and two pastels would be more valuable to you and would cost less. Females of course.

You could get you a really nice lesser female for about $500. That's within your $600 range. Butters might be a little more (I haven't priced them).

And if you truly want to "invest", don't buy a morph for the sake of buying the morph. Really shop around for THE BEST example you can find of the animal and be willing to pay for that quality. Buying the lowest grade for the cheapest price isn't an investment.

After all, I'm assuming, you're investing with hopes to sell offspring one day - you don't want people to think of you as the guy with the "cheap" XYZ morphs.

A ghost or axanthic female. Then you can breed the 'morph x' het-baby back to the mother and then you got yourself a great combo.

Or a spotnose, vanilla or superpastel female and create some cool combos with fire, enchi or russo.
