There is one beautiful thing about colder weather though... and I hold onto this dearly as its one of the main things that get me through the gloomy winter days and nights...

During the cold days its easier to sleep at night. Provided you have a roof over your head and can heat the home up to the 60s. And in the summer, if it exceeds 80F and you don't have sufficient A/C... sleeping is one of the most difficult things to do!

Oh, and the other nice thing about living where its colder... is like you said, tropical humid weather is a nice reprieve!!!! :gj:

    I'll second that!

My place doesn't have A/C because the weather wasn't extreme enough when it was built to warrant it. In the summer my room will get in the high 90's without a window A/C because the sun cooks that side of the house. I can't sleep very well when it's over about 75*.

I love the winter as long as there isn't snow. It's always easier to put on another layer of clothing but there is a defined limit about how little clothing you can wear which may not even help with the heat.

Well I absolutely hate winter. I gotta tell ya though. I'd be buying a window unit cuz there is no way I can sleep when I'm hot.
    Man, I'm spoiled!

Your the opposite of me. I LOVE the cold. I wear shorts all year even when shoveling the snow outside. Seems crazy but being raised in Michigan's weird weather due to the Lakes ive adapted well and love the cold.
