i was a lil grossed out at first. lol
but for the feeding aspect, i use tongs and keep my distance cuz my lil girl loves her rats and it only takes about 5 seconds and shes all over it and she prolly wont care if my fingers are in her way. just keep ur temps and humidity ok and a low stress snake and youll be ok. i have never had mine refuse to feed and i hope it continues
