I love albinos too it was my first big buy and to this day the most I spent on one animal. But I think things blew up when pieds, pastels and spiders came along. What year do you guys believe was the biggest for ball pythons?

I can agree with pieds, but with pastels and spiders they are dirt cheap now...spiders were 25k a while back and now 200...recessive is the way to go...

I'm not talking about prices just what these morphs did for the market as a whole.

Oh in that case I would say pastel..............You can breed a pastel with anything and you can never go wrong....can;t say that for spiders....

Got to be Albino. Before the Albino, BP's had a small following. Once the albino was proven, the Ball Python trade seemed to take off. Sure there were other morphs, but it just seems like the launch of today's market seemed to occur along with the Albino.

The Pied ball is definitely what really got the ball python morphs rolling. Of course, it all started with albinos...pieds werent available at the time. But truth be told...everytime someone, whos not into snakes, sees a pied they all say "thats the prettiest snake ive ever seen"

and that my friend is how the addiction started

    just my $.02

I say pastels and spiders are part of what keeps the addiction going because they are wonderful lookers and are affordable enough that any one can afford them

I voted albino. After reading some of Kevin McCurley's book and watching videos about how they effected the BP market, I think they deserve alot of the credit. Also, they're still one of the most sought out morphs today. That's a long run!
