Re: Is this a problem?
Well, for comparison, I'm used to hers looking more like this one (not my photo or animal, thus no img tags): http://www.ddreptiles.net/images/car...ted_female.jpg
Compared to that, her vent is more visible and/or protruding a bit, and the base of her tail is bulged out. It may just be that it's fine and it only looks out of the ordinary to me because it's different than what I'm used to seeing, but I guess I'd rather be paranoid and not have a problem than the reverse.
We watched her lick up some CGD yesterday afternoon, so the input end of her digestive tract is going. It might be a little hard to keep track of the output end without tearing apart her enclosure, simply because she has a rather large terrarium (1 gecko in an 18x18x24 exo-terra - yes, she's spoiled) and it might end up in the leaves, but we'll of course watch for it - theoretically, she ought to be dropping some droppings within the next day or two if she keeps to her usual schedule.
She did seem normal when I had to handle her pre- and post-enclosure cleaning the other night, so so far, at least, it doesn't seem like she's in much, if any discomfort.
I certainly appreciate the offer of pics of some other geckos.

Re: Is this a problem?
Well, she seems to have gone back to normal, so thanks to all of you for calming my fears while she did whatever it was she was doing. She has received a thorough scolding for worrying us. I don't think the scolding had much of an impact, though. :)

glad it wasn't anything wrong but it never hurts just to make sure by seeing the Vet
