    We recently picked up two feeder mice from a pet store, one I'm sure was a male. But they were incredibly stinky for 2 critters (even for their short stay in the house). We've raised mice and rats in the past and I don't remember any of our animals being that stinky.

    If you have other snakes that eat frozen you could've humanely euthanized the mouse and put it in the freezer instead of taking it back to the pet store.
