    found this on LLLreptile.

    vison tub

I know it's called a "vision tub" but can I actually see into this? The size seems right... will this come with a lid? Is this type of enclosure the best choice for a ball (makes them feel more secure)???

I found a pretty reasonable tank at a petland near me. It'll cost me about $100 to get the tank/thermometer/heat lamp. I'm picking it up next week.

That's not a good price nor a good setup.

I've got a petstore in my neighborhood that sells a 10 gal snake setup which includes:

    10 gal tank
mesh top and hold down clips
    bedding
    UTH
a small hide, big enough for a baby, would have to be upgraded later
    a throw away thermometer
    a background for the tank
a small water bowl, big enough for a baby, would have to be upgraded later

    All this for $69.99

I still think you can buy all of the components' YOU NEED for less than that, so your $100 set up seems high.

Shop around and price the parts that you need, not what they want to sell you. I bet some of the kits will also include a heat rock and we all know the dangers of using them.

    Good Luck!
