what kind of cat do you want to get?

thats annoying how hard it is to find out laws. whats the point of having them if the people cant even find out if they exist. laws are supposed to be KNOWN so you dont break them. I guess a lawyer would know... Theres a place by where I live that used to have tigers i think and they are in a small town its not rural though... and i think theres also someone near where i live (more rural) with bears.

We are going to add an african serval and a canadian lynx to the household. The laws are tricky with every state. Its very easy to find out if something is legal or illegal in your state but alot of people see that its legal to own in the state and just buy it but dont check with there county and city regulations. For example exotic cats are legal in south carolina but certain towns and countys do not allow them. Greenville which is what county I use to live in used to allow them with permits but the lady I spoke to told me the stopped doing permits for them in 2007 and the only way to own one in that county is to obtain a permit threw dnr but she couldnt tell me what kind of permit to obtain. She didnt know lol. It just makes me wonder how they can make laws for these animals and not know what the law is themselves. Or the process to go threw to get an animal legally.
