    Letting your snake get too cold can cause a RI.

    What are the temps in the cage? How are you heating?

    Vet bills uhg?? Part of the responsibility of having this animal comes with the vet bills, just like any cat or dog. That is your responsibility and this animal will die from an Upper Respiratory Infection if you do not get it on the proper medication from an exotics vet.

    Because you found it 'cold' I'm guessing there could be some husbandry issues.

    What are the exact temperatures on the warm side of the enclosure and on the cold side of the enclosure? What's the exact humidity inside?
    How big is the enclosure and what types of substrate and hides are you using?
