I'm no Moderator, nor a Staff member of any sort.

But Infractions and warnings on the forum are usually earned and justified.

Not really, sometimes yes, but a lot of the time no. Anyways it's off subject.

    You brought it up.
And it's justified if it violates the ToS, which, talking about breaking the law does in fact do.

It's unfortunate. I love yellow anacondas and am hoping to one day own one when I have a larger home for one.

Fighting against the bill by calling your senate and congress the best you can is what we need to do. Instead of worrying about it, we should fight about it.

Ok, its been a loooong time since ive been on here.
    My views on this is...

if your ready, get one now.
we are fighting for our rights. it doesnt mean its going to stop the ban.

get it before the ban, or take the chance of never owning one.
its your choice. but personally, id do it before the ban.

Im just going to point out that a year of snake keeping is more than likley not enough experience to justifie a yellow anaconda. I've had a BP for almost two years and know for a fact I am not ready for anything much bigger than a blood python (6-10). And yes I feel those snakes larger than 10ft, even yellow anacondas ranging from 10-12ft (wiki), are different enough that more experience is required. I wouldnt rush into an anaconda even with the ban

So really go get whatever you want before the ban, who's the wiser if you are getting only one as a pet. Unless youre in FL and have to have them chipped there is no way they could have a clue.

If they knew how many average Joes like us had the monster snakes they would sh#t a golden brick. But then again there are very very few deaths due to a pet snake, it does happen but it's not a threat to national security like they make it seem.

Who's to judge that a year of snake keeping isnt enough experience to justify getting a yellow? Just because you may not have been keeping snakes that long as pets doesn't mean your not experienced enough to own certain species. My first snake that I kept as a pet was my yellow anaconda. I decided I wanted a yellow anaconda, I purchased one like 2 weeks later, I did some re-search on caresheets, and then found a reliable source that sells them. You can't base somebodys experience off of how long they've kept snakes is all i'm saying.
