The "wildlife expert" said "it's a miracle the woman wasn't eaten". :taz::rage::taz: Big Gunns wants to know exactly who this "expert" is. Although he probably never said that.

Hahaha. Yeah that 11 foot burm could of just gobbeled her up no problem. And the she "hopes" the men can get her out. Haha i mean how wouldnt they? That burm most likely would have left them alone if they just calmly walked over to the car and opened one of the FOUR doors. Well the good thing is it was on FOX news and almost 99% of people know you might as well watch the news anchored by toddlers.

I agree. People need to realize, for a snake to eat a average human adult it must be around 40-50 feet in length. The expert was probably some kid walking by while the event was going on.

I admit, a few months ago if I saw an 11 foot snake of whatever kind outside of my car I wouldve been "trapped" inside too. I can understand her perspective. The fear of snake IS really deep seeded in most people.

Snakes have suc a bad stigma attached to them that and I'm pretty sure they always will. They might be the most hated animal in America, hands down.

Nothing to get made at, it is what it is.

The problem isn't with the woman or her fear, it's with the reporters. I understand where she's coming from... the Fox News team are the one's who are absurd.

Our ability to express our true concern of the public's fear.

It's like I always tell people when they tell me their afraid of snakes, I tell people "I understand, their not for everyone and I'm not going ask you to do or be in a situation that make them uncomfortable". Normally peoples curiosity and me not pushing the animals on them wins out over fear..

We don't need to poo poo peoples fear. I think that is one of the reasons we get such a bad rap. People get the "its so stupid to be afraid of snakes".

This lady didn't walk in to a snake shop and complain she was getting out of her car..I tell you if I went to get out of my car and there's a Bengal tiger standing there, I'd crap myself.

Just remember while we enjoy these animals we have to accept others who don't and take them into consideration first and foremost cause after all it isn't snake lovers pushing for their removal from the pet trade..now is it.

    Well said
