One quick question, if anyone can help me... in the event that I DO have to take her to the vet, and she requires medication, like Baytril or some such thing, how much did the medication cost you? I know all offices and areas could possibly price differently, but it would help me prepare myself if I had an approximation.

    Hi,

I tend to use a soft plastic pen in a rolling motion to open their mouths and then kind of pull down on their lower jaw to get a clear look. But no they really don't like it. :taz:

If you have your thumb and finger behind the bulge of her jaws you can stop her pulling away without having to use too much pressure on their little necks.

Can't help you with the resulting look though. :P

When she shed did you check to see she shed all her head? I normally look to see if the eyecaps are there and when your doing that you can usually see the little bits that came out of their nostrils as well.

But the main thing is to ckeck for any other signs to determine if it is just something you should keep an eye on or something you should think about taking to the vet.

Thanks for the tips, dr. del. I'll be sure to try the "pen method" tonight.

Yes, she shed both eye caps and the nose piece, from what I can see. I kept that particular shed, actually.
