    Sudden movements from a creature that scares you would likely startle you, well the BP will likely be afraid of you so the same applies. I know it does with my girl.

    When you go to pick up the BP do so from the thickest point and kinda try to avoid the front part of their view, I've noticed this keeps my BP as well as my RTB from biting me at least. Also you can look up hook training, I havent read much about it but I know some use that method to teach the snake that a light tap by the hook means they are being picked up and it's okay.

    First of all good on you for taking this guy in. I am so happy he will hapve a home where someone will love him.

    Be sure to read the care sheet...there is so much information on there for you!!

    One other thing.....I have never been bitten but have read about ppl that got bit. If he happens to bite you do not try to pull him off. If he doesn't let go right away I read that running him under warm (not hot) water and he will let go
