$300 is not bad for if it's a female. You have to expect to pay a little extra from a pet store, but if it's a great looking female that is not a bad price at all IMO. Is this a store that specializes in reptiles? Seems kind of odd that no one there could sex a snake for you. Just a suggestion, but if you are going to really get into buying morphs and expanding your collection you should really learn to sex your snakes. I double check every snake I buy no matter who they come from and I have actually had a mis-sexed snake arrive on a couple occasions. Nothing could be worse than spending 2 years raising up a snake that you were sold as a female only to dicover at breeding time that it is a male. I have read about it happening many times.

They are asking 230 for a female here. But, alas, I wanted a male.

The vet part is cool, lets you know they take care of their animals.

Not popping it until its purchased though... is kind of weird. Never ran into that before.

I agree with you though, I wouldn't purchase it if I didn't know what sex it was.

BG agrees. If they can't sex your snake, they're not a very qualified reptile pet store. They should be able to sex it for you. If they don't want to, BG suspects they know it's a male.

I've had my male spider for 3+ years and he's never wobbled, spun, danced a jig or anything. He's produced two clutches, and a few babies have had a slight wobble during feeding time, but I've never seen it in him. The one male I have left from his clutch this year has never exhibited it either. So unless it's something that is going to show up later on down the road, I'd have to say you're wrong...unless you're "varying degree" includes none...
