frustrating snake owners

it really sucks to see such ppl my 1st snake was given to me by friends i didnt know spuat so i spent hours looking at what the snake needed. even with that i went to stores and asked and found out i was feeding the poor guy way to small a meal big ball python needs big rat not little mouse. now i have a question for all of you how can i hook up a thormostat to his tank i have a huge uth on his huge 5x4x5 tank i know every1 says that will stress him out but he has about 20 hides in the damn cage and uses them all.
