Are you speaking just on BP's alone?
I have heard the same about boas, BCIs specifically. Some cool down and some don't with success rates from both methods.

I once had a pair of adult Dum's, cooled them down and did everything by the book without success. Maybe it just depends on whether the pair is actually breedable or not?
