You're gonna fail if you write all these things as Ball Python prey. Every teacher knows that Ball Pythons eat people,Elephants, Giraffes ....and when really hungry, they eat whole vehicles with 6 people in them.:taz: That's what they see on the news, so why would they believe anything different.:taz::taz::taz::rage::rage::rage:

The ASFs, also called multi-mammate mice, there are a number of species in the genus Mastomys--they are one typical prey item for wild ball pythons. Here are some others:

Striped grass mice of the genus Lemniscomys are common in Africa.

Various species of gerbils.

African shrews
Without a doubt, introduced Norway rats and house mice also find their way into the diets of wild ball pythons.
I suggest using search terms such as 'wild ball python diet' and 'african rodent species'. You should be able to compare range maps--when you find rodents that have a range overlapping that of ball pythons, it's a good bet that they wind up as part of the ball python diet. You should also search for ground-nesting African birds, African rabbits, and other small African mammals that live in the same environment and range as ball pythons.
