Re: Not sure if this should be here or in hots but...
The little ones are pretty defensive but the upside to a smaller one is you have a round about idea of age. When you get an adult you usually do not know how old it is. A lot of people get big adults and they die soon after they get them even with all of the requirements perfect. Seems to be old age stress etc. IMO means in my opinion. I will respond to your other question in a PM :gj:
Re: Not sure if this should be here or in hots but...
when you say defensive, what exactly does that entail? and i know this varies but in your experience aprox how many times do they molt? that's another thing that kinda scares me about getting a baby one, cuz I hear that's where a lot of the complications and deaths can happen.
Re: Not sure if this should be here or in hots but...
Being that they are smaller they are scared you are going to eat them or something. So they are defensive in the fact that they are unsure of the situation. They are not aggressive in the sense they just want to attack you. They molt a descent ammount not sure of a rough estimate of how many times. If your humidty and the animals health are good you should not have a problem :gj:

Just thought I'd quick chime in :D
for Molts, Its been around seven times for every full lived scorpion ive had, in my experience.
Ive heard more, but my oldest CB female (may she r.i.p.) died at 8 years and 2 months old, measured 6" long and had gone through 7 molts (and 2 births!). Many of my personal collection seemed to have followed this trend (per age range) so I feel its fairly accurate.
Ive always thought that number seemed a bit low but there it is.
I am curious if anyone else has had a substainal difference in molt number though??
