I think it's pretty normal for snakes to be aggressive when itty bitty vulnerable babies. In fact, I find it strange when the babies aren't aggressive. We had a clutch of albinos this year who are all just sweet little marshmellows and it makes me think they're a few screws loose. Temperament can definitely be genetic!
