So let me get this right before I go back to the pet store,
I can use an infrared bulb during the day to keep the temps up on the cool side?
And do you think I should continue to use the moonlight bulb at night, or just use the infrared bulb day and night?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make this right.

Make it easier on yourself and just use the infared or moonlight 24/7.

And to monitor the temp on the hot side I use the Zoo Med Reptitemp 500R Thermometer Sensor.

Another question I had was with the probes, I taped them down to the glass on the hot side.
There pretty much next to each other, is that ok?

Now for the bedding I use Aspen, should it be pretty loose over the probes for better temp readings?

As much as a pain that it is to have the probe move around - tape inside an enclosure with your snake, especially tape on a warm surface that gums up from the heat and pulls up and then gets stuck to your snake is not a good thing at all. I'd remove the tape from inside enclosure.

    Everything else looks good!

Also, my probes for my warm sides are on top of the substrate inside the warm side hide, measuring the temps where the snake is actually laying.

    Hi,

You can use a couple of dabs from a glue gun to hold the probe in place safely to replace the tape. :gj:

WoW thanks for that idea Dr. Del.
As soon as I read your post a few hours ago,
I went to Walmart and picked up a glue gun and some glue sticks lol. Worked out Awesome. :gj:

By the way my wife called me earlier today and told me that my BP came out of his hot spot and was checking out his new piece of driftwood log that I got him.

Here are a few pictures I just took a little bit ago, after I got done remounting the probes.
I also bought him a nice plastic plant today, and plan on buying another one just like it for the other side of the tank.

Pictures are not the greatest imo, I need a new camera which I'm buying next year. :)

I dig that driftwood, makes me want to dig through the attic, because I'm pretty sure I used to have a box full.
