For hatchlings to Juvies I use 12x9x6 for geckos and colubrids 7x7x6
I also order my snake bags, and deli cups from there as well.
Re: The latest and greatest on shipping please
Will place my order tommorow... this is what I think it will look like:
8 of the 3/4" insulated boxes... ($28)
1 pack of 10 - 40hour heat packs ($11.50)
10 small snake bags (8 x 12) ($7.65)
Shipping $9.50
that brings the total to $56...
that comes to about $7 per for shipping supplies. Not Bad! obviously there are discounts buying more in bulk, but right now I am in the "baby steps" stage!
Does that sound right? Am I forgetting anything?

Not bad at all compared to the $20 per shipping supplies from SYR :gj:

I actually drop my SYR shipments off at my local Office Depot in the print department. The last UPS pick-up is at 8:30 PM for overnight deliveries at the store near me, so the animal spends the least amount of time in the box.
They're in a climate controlled environment at Office Depot, and I've not had any issues with doing so.

Ok, so if I am not fed ex certified, going thru a third party like SYR is my only legal option corrrect?
Mike, it's not ILLEGAL to ship through FedEx or UPS and not be certified. There is no law against it. It is, however, against FedEx and UPS policy if you are not certified, but it's not a legal matter. Just want to clear that up! :)

Thanks for the info Robin!!! How did you find out you could do that? Can anyone do it? Can you just walk in and do it? After ups picks it up from Office Depot where does it go? Thanks again!!! Your da bestest too Robin :D ;)
Re: The latest and greatest on shipping please
Why not just get Fedex certified it takes very little effort, and once you have it you can ship the animals yourself. Just contact your local Fedex rep to find out how. We did and it was easy.:D
Re: The latest and greatest on shipping please
I had a bad experiece with fedex. My last shipped snake came almost frozen.
The shipper was in a very hot weather, and that was his excuse for the cold pack, But it seems fedex kept the box in a refrigirator to make things worse.

Robyn from Ship Your Reptiles has said that you can drop off anywhere that there is a daily UPS pick-up. He named Office Depot and Office Max, and I called my local Office Depot to find out when UPS picked up. They don't even look at it - just set it with the other packages to go out.
It goes to the local sort facility and then to your local airport from the pick-up.

I would rather ship with SYR because of their discount. It is much cheaper for me to ship with them to ship on my own account through FedEx.

Taking a note for other breeders I've gotten snakes form.. I have sticker that say Please keep at 70 degrees like harmless Reptile Stuck on three sides of the box.
