Re: Rescue in poor shape, may have a burn?
The earliest appointment I could get was wed. morning but atleast I did get the reptile specialist we used to take our Burmese to. We're going to hold off on feeding him until after the appointment. I have him in a clean dry cage (where cant reach any heating devices). We're keeping our fingers crossed that we can get him thru this, Im very concerned by how skinny he is and soo mad at the guy that had him. He actually acted like he was dissapointed/annoyed that the snake never got big, like he couldnt figure out why!? I really wish that pet stores did not exist, atleast a good breeder will make sure a buyer understands how to care for a pet and seems to be competent enough to do it. Im not gonna rant too much (and believe me after ten yrs of rescue work I could) but I see this kind of thing in the dogs and other furries we rescue and foster all the time and it makes my blood boil. I dont understand people that get pets and then do the bare minimum to keep them alive and have the nerve to complain about the pets behavior or health on top of it all. I have lost count of how many wonderful loving critters I have rescued whose owners simply didnt have the intelligence or patience to care for and train them properly. OK Im good now, had to get that out and Im home alone so no one else to rant to but u guys :)
