    Those dots occur so often they have a nick-name. when they occur near the nostril(s), they are called 'boogers". My '09 male Pied has them. :P

    He is for sure NOT a spotnose, but the spots on the nose do happen.

    The name doesn't really suggest much about the mutation now-a-days. Spotnose are ID'd using the Spotted 'crown' atop of their heads ;)
