    I would definetely try that but I only have access to live mice and live rats(sm or lg). Even the small rats are huge compared to the mice. Since I haven't gotten him on f/t mice either I haven't bothered with f/t rat pups.

    It depends on the weight of the snake but small rats may be okay. Ask for the smallest and if it 10-15% of the snakes weight then you are okay!

    Try feeding him/her in something small like a 10 gallon tank with the live small rat. It always works for me if they wont eat in there enclosure.

    I think the difference in size was kinda intimidating for him. It seemed that way at least, lol. I always feed him in a tupperware container, so I did the same with the rat. After a little while he just tries to get out of the container.
