Re: New BP acting a bit odd
im in the process of making some smaller natural looking hides, they should be done by this weeked. is there anything in particular i should cover the sides with? i was thinking black foam boards used for presentations just so it would add some more insulation for the cold illinois winters
Re: New BP acting a bit odd
Hi,
I tend to use aquarium picture background and then put the insulation over the top of that - for no other reason than it looks better to me. :)

See that hole to the left of the plant? That is a tupperwear container that I melted a hole in the top of. I just bought an indoor/outdoor thermometer and my question is where I should put it. In the blue circle I have one thermometer that tells temp and humidity, it’s pushed against the glass and covered by a thin layer of substrate. My question is where I should put the thermometer and the probe. I was thinking put the thermometer in the red and put the probe in the hide. Any other suggestions?

Probe goes on the hot side on the glass right in the middle of the UTH. Stick the rest of the unit (assuming it is an accurite?) on the cool side.
That "rock" looks a lot like a heat rock. If it is infact a heat rock, toss it in the trash. It will cook your snake.

it is a heat rock but i cut the cord off of it. just using it for looks now
