Yeah, I had the vacant cage open all day. Put her in it, and sprayed that mug down..lol.

I would never keep a blood in 40% but now shes in a smaller tub. I never felt right about that cage, seemed kind of huge. After reading baby bloods like being nice and 'cramped' I put her in a much smaller enclosure, about the length of her body.

if your cage is glass and in an area where there is foot traffic it may never eat. young ones are very easily disturbed and when they're disturbed they won't eat.

as others have said they need to feel secure.

although i have had great success on paper towel as a substrate, if your snakes won't eat then you may want to try mulch or some sort of soil/dirt/peat mixture. refer to ross's reproductive husbandry of pythons and boas.

The cage was covered 24/7.

Now shes in a shoebox tub with my fav substrate (eco-earth). She ate last night :)

I moved her because the10 gal looked way to big for her. it was probably intimidating
