    Another trick that's worked for me (my latest rescue had some BADLY stuck shed because he was so emaciated) was after a soak to use a washcloth soaked in warm water to gently rub off the shed. Puck seemed to trust the cloth over his head better than my fingers prying and peeling.

    Yeah. I just had this happened. The pillow case method didn't work, trying to just soak her in warm water and help her peeved her before I even tried the pillow case. I got mineral oil and rubbed it in and it worked wonders. I used it as a last resort.
