Re: My New Pastel
First of all, nice pick up, Pastels are one of the base morphs of any great collection. Did Brian tell you what line he is from? Someone mentioned the Lemon line?? The Lemon line is the NERD line that is characterized by a bright colored Pastel and dark black, as opposed to faded out black like on the Graziani line. With Pastels, you get nice and average and poor examples from each line, so you need to pick the individual you like the best, not really the line you have heard has the nicest Pastels. Also, in my opinion, Pastels are at their best as babies, and tend to brown out as they age. I would not look for any baby Pastel to all of a sudden brighten up in a month or two, or in a year....what you see now, is probably as nice as he will look. If you want a stunning adult Pastel, guaranteed, you need to do one of two things: 1-buy a stunning adult, chances are, it has gone through its browning out, and if it is nice at a year old or older, it should stay looking like it does now....2-buy a Pastel cross, either YB, Fire, Sulfur, Vanilla, etc.
