There are Platinums produced in Germany last year and this year.

    @ pavlovk1025:

Ralph has reproduced a lot of Platinums, just take a look at his birthing records on his website.

    Greets...

Nope, any lesser or butter can make a platty but they are only half of what you need. To reproduce a platty you need one of the normal looking sibs from a platty clutch. I THINK Ralph has been selling normal sibs now so you will probably start seeing a bunch of platty's being produced in the next year or two.

RDR has produced platinums, they have the same light color, but lack the side pattern of platty daddy. He also produced a butter daddy from a butter male to platty sib female.

Thanks, I found em earlier. I always have a tough time navigating Ralph's site. Feel mighty dumb now. =D

From what I understand, any lesser or butter can be used. Similar to how the crystal ball genes work. I've been really curious for a couple years now to see what happens if you breed the "special" gene from the crystal to a lesser.

From what I've been told Crystals ARE the "Special" gene carriers, so breeding a Crystal to a Lesser gives you a Platty Daddy.

Has is it actually been done or is it still just theory at this point?
