I am a proud user of aspen and I love it. It looks natural, holds humidity better than paper towels/newspaper, Is probably more comfortable, and soaks urine so the snakes do not soak themselves in it.

Newspaper is cheaper imo cleaner cause as soon as they do their business spray some disinfectant, wipe down put another sheet and ur ready to go.

So with the aspen bedding can you just spot clean the area where the urine or feces is, or change the bedding in the whole enclosure?

You spot clean. But after 1 month you completely change the bedding and clean out the enclosure.

I don't know why so many people recommend buying unprinted paper from home depot or lowe's  Most local news paper distributors will give away unprinted end rolls for free, they have no use for them. You just have to ask :P
