I think the Mojo x Lesser BEL would cost less, just because Mojos are not as much money as Lessers. I don't know if the grey head makes a difference in how much money it is compared to a BEL that is pure white with no grey head, but maybe that may be another thing since maybe a BEL that came out of the egg had a grey head would be worth less than a pure white BEL.

Lesser x Lesser BELs, IMO, would be worth more since Lessers are normally worth a lot of money plus (if this makes a difference) the babies would be pure white instead of white with a grey head.

"Dirty" BELs are definitely worth less money compared to a bright and clean BEL...

Personally, I love a bright clean BEL but I also love the dirty BEL with grey head...

But for comparative purposes, I created this thread with the intention to see if the majority preferred a two gene BEL(mojo/lesser) as opposed to the single gene BEL(lesser) assuming both BELs look equally pretty.

Man, this is a tough one!

I guess it depends on what people want. As many have mentioned already, some people like supers so they know what the offspring will be. Others like a variety of offspring. As far as I know, Mojave x Lesser and Lesser x Lesser BELs are fairly similar in whiteness, though I'm betting at least some M x L BELs could have a touch of grey on the head.

Thanks for mentioning the Lesser x Butter thing! I was planning on adding a female Butter to my BEL breeder group next year, but I have a male Lesser for her! I never even thought about trying to tell the offspring apart (even though I, too, can't tell Butters from Lessers most of the time)! Looks like I might be getting a Russo instead....

I like them both in different ways but the super lesser (Butter) would probally sell for more.

I say the lesser because they are a bit harder to find than mojaves and the BEL out of lessers obviously makes lessers :D

This is an obvious one--LesserXLesser or ButterXButter. Every baby they produce will be a lesser (or butter). Mojaves are way down in price now, in spite of the fact that they can be as nice as lessers in their own way.

Just a point of order. They are the same gene, just different alleles of the same gene.

Personally I think it depends on what you want to accomplish with the morph. If you want to produce more combination animals it might be better to have a Mojave x Lesser breeder to maximize the different types you can produce, if you want to produce animals that have a higher sale value you might want a Lesser X Lesser Leucy so that that you would produce more Lessers that will have a higher price point. It really all depends on what your goals are.
