LMAO. :8:
I actually think she sounds more like an Irish leprechaun... Ay, me ball be feelin a wee bit scared. :D Anyway, we have exchanged a few more emails, and I'll probably be taking her. The girl doesn't sound like a bad person, just young (I assume) and not very well-informed. Either way, this snake will be happier with me! Any tips on picking her up, driving back, and/or getting her settled into the new home? TIA!
Re: Possibly rescuing an "aggressive" BP?
For the drive I would put her in a critter keeper or tub with some vent holes. The one I use for my adult is about 17L X 10W X 5T. Don't place them on the floor because of the engine/ transmission/ and road heat. Best to place them on the seat and cover the tub to keep the sun out of it. Best to carry a thermometer so you can adjust the car a/c so that it doesn't get too cold...
Also, when you get her home, you may want to give her a bath to try and get the sand off before putting her in the enclosure. Go Ahead and get all the stressful stuff out of the way. Quarantine her in another room, away from your other reptiles, and go ahead and pretreat the new enclosure for mites...
