I was talking to Greg Graziani, Michael Cole and Shawn Heflick at Daytona this past weekend about the python hunt in the Everglades. They are the original three that have been approved to hunt them and have been going down weekly to do so.
If I recall correctly (it was Daytona remember and lots was going on in the evenings ;)) all three said that the only burms pulled out so far were normals. No albinos.

The video on YouTube with the "animal wrangler" who happens on a albino across a road, with his cameras just happening to be in front of him.. then he leaps out as if he's just spotted it? Yeah.. check out the Sasquatch in my kitchen too.
With all the legitimate video and pictures of burms caught in the Everglades, I haven't seen any that were albino.

I believe that it is very possible for albino burms to exsist in the Evergaldes. After all many that were released had to be albinos. However, if think of it this way, when they breed in the wild (one specimen happens to be normal and the other albino) all the offspring come out either normal or het albino (all offspring look normal. When the hets reproduce and produce an albino, the likely hood of that albinos survival is very slim. I think there is atleast 1 or2 adult albinos out there.

im not talking about just in the everglades and if you ask me I think most sighting in florida are "staged" But that albino burm he got is not a normal looking albino burm and they have been showing up more and more in florida and I think it has something to do with being in the natural sunlight all day fading out the pattern.

Where are you hearing that albino burms are "showing up more and more in florida?" I live here and haven't seen it in the news or heard it from other herpers. If someone is saying that, I'd like to know so I can check it out. . .

im not saying its an everyday occurance im just saying they have been found in the wild in florida. Im sure theres a ton of people that live in florida that do not even know what a burmese python is.

This right here is what im talking about. I keep seeing more and more people with this color burm and for some reason everyone that owns one that I have seen is located in florida. And noone can tell me any genetic history of the animals or anything. I spoke to this guy and it was a rescue that was found in florida.

I have seen these show up every once in a while but from what Ive been told this has been around for a while so if it was genetic I would think it would of already been proven.

That thread he says it was found in an alley. That means nothing as far as "wild". Not even feral.
If you're asking if breeders in florida have a certain type of albino, that's one thing. But saying you're hearing about all these albinos being wild caught in florida is another thing. If you've heard of wild caught albinos in florida, we'd like to see where you're hearing it. I live here.

it was found in an alley in florida. I dont think its a new morph I just think its something that happens to albinos in the wild when they come into direct sunlight. And coming from the newsreporters you guys should be able to walk outside and pick up a burm anywhere you look. Your senator seems to believe you have 100,000 so they shouldnt be to hard to find!
