Re: Figment - Our Hypo Lavender Corn Baby
Ohh he is sooo cute! Like a little snakey ring or bracelet. I wanted a corn snake so badly but like another poster I live in Georgia and it is illegal. It is such a shame because I think Corn snakes are amazing! I always wanted a snow corn since I started wanting a snake. :tears:
The first time I went to Disney World I was 8 years old and the Imagination ride with Figment was always my favorite. When I went back later after I was married the ride had changed but I still loved Figment, my husband even bought me a plushie of the dragon and I still have it! Rawk on with that name!:gj:

Don't get me wrong, I love looking at the countless pictures of baby colubrids out there.
....but there's something special about adult corn snakes.
Looks great, and well cared for! :)

Thank you! I take a lot of pride in taking care of all my animals. They are all healthy, tame, and have ideal setups.
I have 1 (2016) Female Ivory Ghost BCI, 1 Female Albino Spider BP (5 years old), 1 Blue Tongue Skink (2 years old), and 3 leopard geckos (4 years old and housed together), and Figment the 4 year old corn snake (Hypo Lavender - hence this thread). So 5 tanks in total.
I am not be judgmental at all, but this is my limit. I have a full time job, a fiancé, 5 dogs, a house to help maintain, meals to cook, etc.
I know that if I got more, as tempting as it is, I wouldn't be able to keep them as happy and healthy and tame as they all are. I want to be able to give each animal proper care and time.
Again, not judging people with many more reptiles. I just understand this is my limit and appreciate the comment that Figment looks so well cared for. I really appreciate it.

Got a good picture of Figment today.
I need to get a better shot of his purple eyes without the flash, but otherwise, I think he looks pretty good.
He's 4 years old and 640G! Amazing he was 9G at 5 months when I first got him!

Re: Figment - Our Hypo Lavender Corn Baby
Figment is getting to be a big boy. He's 650G now, and although his growth is slowing, and is healthy, I am going to slow his feeding regimen.
I will not go to rats because of fat content, and have been feeding every 7 days a 30-40G mouse. I am going to try to put him on the same schedule as my adult female BP and feed every two weeks.
If he seems healthy and isn't losing weight, even slowly growing still, fine. If he looks or acts different, which is unlikely, I will move to ten days. Sunday is feeding day and it would be easier for me to feed every two weeks. According to the Munson Feeding Chart, that is totally acceptable. I want a happy and healthy Figment for a long time.
Any thoughts are welcome. I will advise over time as to how he is doing (like I do anyway :)).
