Also, you capitalize the word LIVE like a scam artist capitalizes the word FREE. It's pretty annoying.

Thank you running Elk. I feel the same way. The first few threads were enough, now he is definitely trolling

To be fair he hasn't replied to this thread in a bit. Maybe it's fighting something that isn't" there at this point,

I didn't read too far into this thread. His first few comments were just strikingly rude -- enough so that I had to put in my two cents (in his case my two pence).

I wonder how many people in the UK breed their own rodents and feed live when necessary, and just don't say anything about it. :colbert:

If this is the general level of hostility, I certainly wouldn't say a thing.

I am fine with Zinc feeding his snakes whatever he/she wishes.

I am not fine with him constantly fear mongering and bashing live feeders.

HolyHoly crap. 17 pages of nothing and a thread screwed up mostly over one person. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad. I was going to comment in the original thread, but didn't want to add to the off topic issues. Now its taken me a while to get caught up, and I'm not even sure it was worth it. But since I'm here, I'll toss my .02 on the pile too. I feed almost all live, for the simple reason that I breed my own feeders to save money, and adding the extra steps of killing and freezing just doesn't make sense to me. Yes I have garbage trucks that will eat extras, but then if everyone eats and I have no extras, I get an extra step of thawing a second batch. And I have pretty much the whole range of takers in my bp collection. Bps who are practically garbage trucks themselves, some that will take only live, at least one that I know prefers f/t or f/k, some that are strict live asf feeders, and so on. And it's not as if I don't have any ability on getting bps to switch, I have a female champagne that I got cheap because she was a strict asf feeder, and after working with her for a few months, she is on medium rats now. But I also have a het albino female that despite my best efforts and months of trying, she will only accept a very occasional rat, and keeps going back to asfs. Actually, she's also the one that has never even considered looking at any f/t that I've tried. And as pro live feeding as I am, I'd switch in a heartbeat if I was sure all my snakes and all their babies would eat frozen. But I knew when I decided to work with bps that they have feeding issues at times, and I made a choice that I would do what's needed for them. At the end of all this, do what is right for your animals, and let others do the same. More than enough hate in this world already, let's not add to it.
