I don't understand why you're still arguing. If you aren't going to take the advice you originally sought out then why are you still here, except to throw said advice back in the faces of people who actually care? We are all trying to keep your snake healthy. If you aren't going to take the advice, then just keep your mouth shut and be considerate to those who took the time to try to help you out. Common courtesy. Try it. It'll give you better results.

did you ever stop to think that the problem is that you guys are arguing with me?
and for what?... because you REFUSE to believe a snake that you dont know doesn't enjoy being held? how about you just accept the fact that you COULD be wrong instead of trying to force me to belive that he doesnt like it. what if he does and i stop holding him all because YOU didnt believe he did. does that seem right to you?

Snakes do not enjoy being held. End of story.

You are not a snake mind reader. Snakes don't give signals of happiness like dogs and wag their tails. You have no proof to say your snake is happy, only content.

You girls are clearly new to the Herp world. People have been studying these animals for DECADES. You need to take a step back, research a bit and then come back and make accusations.

No, I KNOW I don't read snake minds. But I can make an educated guess why they react the way they do. How can I do this? I've been on this forum reading for almost a year, I've read two ball python books (Written by the best people in the business), and I talk to a bunch of snake owners who have been in the hobby for years.

They hide their head because they are afraid you are a big monster that is going to eat them. This will most likely go away in time, but right now he's a shy ball python that's still getting used to his environment.

Can you post a video of his loving behavior?

Look, just don't sleep with it because you might accidentally hurt it and let's be done here. No one's going to change their mind in this argument.
