Re: What type of substrate do you use?
I used paper towels at the time that I voted, but I now use newspaper. It's much easier. I just pull out a section/sheet and put it in. I don't have to get like 8 sheets of paper towels and double them over, etc., and I don't have to worry about my ball swallowing some paper towel.

The Wall street Journal is the perfect size for my sterlite 32q tubs and has mild black and white ink. Only problem is finding places to steal it from..j/k

I have lots of snakes and I use a product called Critter Country alot. Its made out of Veggies and really does a good job controlling the oder. We use it in our live Rat and mice bins. You should be able to find this product a your local snake store.. If you have a moment check out our web page ...We sell reptile supplies cheap...No Critter Country in our online store but lots of other great stuff The Reptile Masters

I'm trying something new with bedding...

I lay down a layer or 2 of newspaper and then a layer of aspen on top. Certainly helps when cleaning...anyone else experimented with this method?

THat's what I use... IMHO it's the best looking substrate...:) but it does have it's downside to being messy when setting it up. :(
