Happens everywhere...any time you have a forum filled with people who are passionate about something, miscommunications and differences of opinion will cause flare-ups...
I've seen it on stock market forums, art forums, fishing forums, car forums, r/c forums, mountain bike forums, etc...this is nothing new...:)

But that's what makes a good forum, the ability to debate. If we all agreed all the time where would the learning come in?

How did I miss this thread? I don't think there was any miscommunication here. Just one person with an agenda and a point to make (or beat into the ground). Buy from whoever you want, big or small. Just make sure you do your research and get it right so you don't regret it down the line.
As far as the apple pie, I would go to town on that thing. (and not in the American Pie way) ;)
