Sorry for that Robin. May your beloved camera RIP.
And yes. I say Kara should send each of us one of those wonderful pies. Half tempting me to go make one.
After all, I got a free 8 week membership to Bally Total Fitness, I'm sure I could work it off lol.

but adam, you promised me i'd feel like i was trading a handful of crumpled bills for the dirty snakes in a bag you are sending me...

are you now telling me my choice to go with you was a mistake? darn... if i wanted good customer service i would have said so up front :8:

just joking here folks. i want to chime in, although i'm only 1/2 done reading this thread... that personally i want to have some prime stock to start my breeding experience... PRIMO - so i will only ever deal with people who guarantee that kind of stock and have the years behind them to prove it. hence... why we went with adam on our 2 100% het pied pair and our 2 pastels... we don't care how much we pay, we care about the quality of what we are getting! the price... well it's simply the price you pay for quality. if i wanted a 'knock off' i would have gone with someone else ;)

Aleesha, I really hope you didn't mean it that way but the last line makes it sound as if paying less makes one's animals poor quality.
I have my eye on a spider from EBN. They have them for less then Adam (don't worry adam, just using your pricing as an example). Does that mean that if I go through with the purchase then my animal would be less then quality because I saved a few hundred?
    No, it certainly shouldn't.
I do believe and I do hope that I am mistaken in the way I took your post but I just wanted to clarify it.

Sean has FANTASTIC spiders at great prices! ... You'll get an awesome animal from an awesome breeder! ... Go for it! :D :sweeet:

As far as my prices, I have spiders available at a lot of different price levels and can make a spider affordable for anyone that wants one ... no worries there! :D

no not at all. i was thinking more of my own experience... buying from someone who wasn't a big breeder and getting screwed in the deal. that deal taught me an important lesson... that doing my homework, getting to know who the breeder is and making sure that the stock i want to breed with is top notch (and in my eyes, top notch is going with the bigger name breeders).

If a breeder, big or small, gave me a great deal for whatever reason...I would not advertise publically out of consideration for that breeder and their future business. That 'great deal' can quickly become the new starting point for negotiations with future customers, basically taking money right out of their pocket if they happen to have a customer willing to pay more.

i completely agree. i've never understood this whole... i got this snake for X amount of dollars... isn't that great?

if it's great in your eyes then it's great but why do they feel the need to broadcast it? personally i feel we got an amazing deal from adam... super duper amazing great. but i would never discuss numbers in public... just not my way.

I started by selling my animals for what I feel they are worth, by respecting the professional breeders prices, by never undercutting my own customers, by being 100% honest all the time, and by trying to provide every one of my customers with the same level of service and quality that I would expect myself ... I have been blessed to have had a lot of success over the years and the future at this point seems limitless for my business! :D

another reason why i chose to go with adam. i see him supporting the smaller breeders who he believes in on this site... and i hope, that after a few years of breeding our own snakes that he'll feel that way about us (my hubby and i) too.

    gotta run...

Who knows what motivates them. Loneliness? A lack of peers in real life to share their herping experience with? The internet does do much to connect us all but in the end, for me, if you get enough enjoyment out of sharing personal financial details to strangers via text on a public forum, one might need to, frankly, get a real life.

honestly, thank YOU for asking me for it. i dislike being misunderstood and so, if i can elaborate a bit and clarify for someone, i much prefer that ;)

i know i was very late to this conversation... and i do apologize for starting it back up again... but i am thankful i was able to share my views and opinions with you all.

after all... they are mine... sometimes uniquely mine, but mine nonetheless :carrot:
