Oh ok, so yours might be deep enough. I only use about 1/2" or so of aspen as i use flexwatt for all my snakes so they easily can push stuff around lol. And it usually is Caesar who does the trouble making. Another awesome thing he does in the middle of the night is if he is hungry, he will push at the gap between the 2 panes of glass by the center support in his AP cage which when he pushes and stands his body up to brace, it shakes all the cage doors in the stack haha. He is such a trouble maker.

I've got an RHP waiting for my build at AP already. I'll probably build out the sides and back with a foam and bark background with a few integrated but removable hides. (I still need to figure that one out)

There's a thread here regarding sky hides you might find interesting. Arboreal snakes seems to really enjoy them.
