I haven't seen many of your posts but, so far I agree that Rob does indeed seem to be funnier than Tosh.

I have to say that in a way, Raven STARTED OUT right in that they SHOULD be reported because the culprit deserves to have his stronger-word-for-butt destroyed in court and subsequently in prison.

BUT I also think that that's something only a person who it's never happened to can say. You probably think you know what you'll do, but it hardly ever goes according to a plan. What if they have a gun or some other weapon? What if there's more than one of them? What if it's someone you know? A stranger? What if you call for help but no one comes? What if you can't overpower them? Will anyone believe you if you say something? I think I have a solid plan on how to stop an assailant, but I won't know if it would ACTUALLY work until I was put in the situation (which I hope and pray will never happen).


Raven01, I think if you've never been a victim, you shouldn't go around telling other victims how to feel, what to do, or how to deal with it. I highly doubt you're an all-knowing guru who's "wisdom" will MAGICALLY make everything they've gone through better. You started out with an okay (yet horribly stated) point, but now you're just arguing for the sake of arguing, which is belittling to everything these people have gone through. And why are you arguing statistics? It won't make someone go "well gee thanks, it all makes sense now! Everything I've gone through has suddenly become no big deal because YOU STATED A STATISTIC OR A RADIO SHOW."

NO ONE DESERVES TO BE ASSAULTED. Women, men, Caucasians, African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Middle Easterners, heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, pansexuals, old, young, skimpily dressed, fully clothed, rich, poor, drunk, sober, or where you live... Nothing magically grants someone the right to hurt someone else. People aren't statistics, they're human beings and you're just being so disgustingly disrespectful now.

Where did I ever state that I do not have exactly the experience you say I should have to make such statements?
No where. I just think that a pet forum is not the place to disclose such things.

And, for the record I was not "attacking" any "victim".
I was correcting the stupid statement that all men deserve to be treated as criminals because some criminals are men. And, I stated that any grown woman should KNOW without reservation if she has been assaulted or not. If they are confused then it is 99% unlikely that they were.

Also, I only have respect for those that show it. Personal attacks as have been happening do not deserve a respectful response. You don't see me using derogatory terms versus people so much as versus bigoted ideas and actions do you?

Lol, okay, Mr. Prove it, prove to me that if someone is confused of their assault, 99% of the time it wasn't actually assault.

Where are your sources to back THAT up?

I hope that you never have to go through the experience of being confused and shameful about your assault if you are ever the victim of one, and someone else telling you that it wasn't assault.

I mentor people that "do not know" what it is that happened to them. Most of the scenarios are like: "he undressed me and was kissing me, but I wasn't comfortable with anything more so I said 'no', yet he still went on".
These women are confused as to whether or not they were raped because they wanted everything up until when they said "no", and the answer is, yes, they were.

Confusion in no way, means that the victim was no actually assaulted or as you like to say: a "REAL" victim.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. I keep my knife on me at all times, it's never not in my pocket. I've never had to use it nor my wife and ideally it stays that way.

The problem comes when they expressed OBVIOUS unhappiness to your comments. At that point, you could've just said "sorry if I made you feel bad" or even NOTHING AT ALL and just walked away. IT'S THEIR FEELINGS; just because YOU think what you say is okay doesn't mean everyone else will feel the same. But you kept arguing against them. From a third party, it LOOKS like you're attacking/belittling/talking down to people here. And then ASKING for more people to insult you because "not enough people have had a go at you" crossed the line into just being a complete and utter jerkwad.
