Thanks much for that info. After seeing that I'll make sure to stay far away from his posts. :gj:

I strenuously urge you to not involve Mr. Kick, or his brother in this situation...or any situation for that matter. I have found Mr. Kick and his brother to be highly questionable in both deeds and character.

I suspect that if you put an ad, casey, in that section stating that you have a mouse that needs to travel someone would be willing to provide transportation. If you don't have a good transport cage you can get one inexpensively.

You REALLY need to get things moving on this casey. The longer you wait the worse you look.

She even has a section on one of her forums for mouse transport help that she could utilize, and so far isn't.

I know I am new here but I want to say a big "Thank you" to everyone for keeping this thread as civil as it has been so far, all things considered. I've been impressed with BP.net's user base and how open and above-the-table these things have been treated so far.

    Kudos!

I've been keeping up with this thread silently so far, not really knowing anyone involved and anything helpful I've thought to say has been said already. This particular bit of advice is terrible given the progression of this thread. Have you read it all? OP had her rightful property stolen from her, and the thief has begun to attempt to return it as a result of the conversation on this forum as others. Even with that aside, it's apparently a very valuable mouse, one of only two in the country according to the OP, both of which rightfully belong to her. Monetary value aside, don't you think it would be awesome to be able to say "Nobody else in this country has this morph"? That was stolen from the OP along with the mouse, and risks vanishing if the doe has a litter that the OP doesn't find out about while in the custody of the thief.

Stealing is stealing, and the OP has the right to pursue the return of her property, no matter how miniscule the object or value might be, as long as she does so within the confines of the law. And she has.

I have no intention of saying I'm the only one who has it actually....I want to be able to share the gene with others...HOWEVER it would be MUCH harder for me to establish a stable line without the second doe. This gene actually HAS been in the US before...but all of those animals were lost as the breeder was unable to establish a strong enough breeding population and no other people were breeding them. I asked for 2 females and a male b/c that is what I comfortable establishing the gene with, without havng to outcross.

I didn't mean to imply that you meant to keep it that way, but the value of saying that you briefly had the only known ones, and could potentially be responsible for introducing it as a stable morph in the U.S. seems to have some value. I know I would be extremely proud of something like that.
