I remember you explained the origin behind the name Mama Quilla, but did you ever mention how Etso got his name? I'm curious.
Also, what would you consider the main differences you've noticed between longicauda and imperator, if anything?
Mama quilla is the Incas "mother moon god" and etso I was looking for something to call him more Peruvian and I came across that name can't even find the meening of it now lol
The bcl I find need a couple degrees cooler and also if the humidity is too high they both have terrible sheds, if I mist when the in shed it comes off in a million pieces.
So if I always check before I mist them

How interesting! I would not have expected that the humidity being too HIGH could cause the sheds to go that poorly.

Oh, you! Quit leaving me with all this BCL envy! I'm not supposed to be looking for a new snake for another year! :P
In all seriousness, though, Adelita almost got a brother at the Hamburg show last weekend. There was a nice het anery Denton line x male BCL (dam was a Denton line hypermel anery, I forget what the sire was) there that was painful to leave behind. The only reason he didn't come home was the fact that Adelita's new enclosure wasn't ready for her and I didn't have housing on hand for a second snake. Hopefully my self-control holds out at the next expo in November...
