This girl suffered from a rat attack long before I got her. She is cbb not an import. The preveous owner told me she would only eat live. I got her to switch to f/t in 4 feedings. first a small live meal followed by a stunned floper next a p/k then frozen. Shes been pounding frozen ever since. Shes 3000 grams and over 4 feet.

feeding live food to your snakes is horribly dangerous. It's usually quite lethal to the rodent. :D:D

I'm kind of blowing the curve here. I've only fed 3 times (Once/wk.) but every thing is aces.

I've always fed my 10 year old corn on live feeder mice with no problems. Now I've added a 6 month old boa and I can't find live fuzzies in the area only F/T. I bought a bunch of F/T online and decided to try the F/T on the corn. He could care less if they were live or frozen, so long as they fit down his gullet :) I'll admit I enjoyed the kill sequence, but not if there is any danger to my guys. Next month my boa will be a year old. When I first got him he was about 121 g, now at last weighing he's about 200 g.

There is a correct way and an incorrect way to feed live. Choose appropiate size(smaller is better than larger) and dont feed live unsupervised.

Most accidents with snakes, wether it the snake getting bit or you getting bit by the snake, are usually the handlers fault.

Anyone who has been keeping snakes(sucessfully) for a long time will tell you that.
