Except this forum, which allows for scholarly debate.
Arguing gets into the emotional aspects of winner/loser, right/wrong whereas a scholarly debate is focused on sharing, learning, and looking at old things in new ways ;)

Andrew is not uptight. He is one of the most passionate people I know when it comes to these giant constrictors. He may seem like an *A-word* at times. I thought of him the EXACT same way when I was 14, 15, 16 years old. Thought he was just trying to jump on me for everything and yadda yadda. Today, I have the most respect for him you couldn't even imagine. I've leaned 90%+ of giant constrictor knowledge thanks to him. You do not know him like I do. You may not think age means anything. But boy are you wrong. Just like children when they hit puberty. Out comes the mood swings and what not. I personally want to extend my thanks to Andrew for tearing me a new *A-word* when I was younger. I can completely see where he is coming from and his concerns now that I am older. And it didn't take many years.

no, i didnt think he was a *a-word*

and i accually didnt start anything with him,
in my first post i was talking about EVERYONE who was jumping on the guy with the retic....

but he took it the wrong way, because i said i agree with liz of oz.

but i never told him that, because he decided to kind of "blow up" on me...

otherwise i would have never talked to him.
and this whole thing was a mis understanding, but i really dont care.

the only reson i said he was "uptight" is because he couldnt or should i say... wouldnt just relax a little and stop arguing the fact i wrote.

otherwise, i still have no problem with the guy, and i still dont belive age is a factor.

and i do belive he is a very knoladgeable person when it comes to large snakes, i dont think he is a *a-word*

i just think he over reacted.

and yes i know it seems like im blaming him, but no, it was partly my fault for not wording it good.
but seriously, i didnt mean it toward him as me saying "dude stfu, and lighten up in everyone cuz your a *a-word*"

because i would have said that.
    or never said anything.

    but whats done is done.
and it was a stupid damn argument.

I sent him an e-mail about it and he seemed legit, but then when I offered to help him find a home for it by getting the word out on forums he never replied. *shrug* He said one guy had already been to look at it and it scared the bejeezus out of him and that if he didn't find anyone willing to take it he was going to donate it to a zoo. I'd be surprised if he could find one that didn't already have its fill of burms and retics, but there you go.

I'm sure he was greeted by 22 feet of love and kindness when he entered the snake room!
