there was a "dimmer" type switch made for reptiles. i had two places to plug in i dont remember the brand but it was $30.00 and i get a 15% discount since i worked there a few years ago.

That would work for now, but the lamp dimmers at Home Depot are $8.

they didnt have any!!!

They might have some at Walmart, or another home store....or just get the one you can get a discount on :)
