Something Different. They Use Heather instead of Chops... very Very Interesting beer...

    From Producer page:

Brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. heather ale is probably the oldest style of ale still produced in the world. From an ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) it has been revived and reintroduced to the Scottish culture.

Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, a spicy herbal flavour and dry wine like finish.

Recommended with : Rich and Spicy foods

Drink slightly chilled from a fluted glass. 5% abv

They have whole line of Historical Ales... See Weed ale Pine Spruce ale and such...

Don't have occasion to drink others but I really recommend this one :gj::gj::gj:

Edit: For Anybody interested in other historical beers from this brewery:

With how fast beer is consumed its not worth paying high prices.

I agree 100% ! ....I like Corona. ....and Schlitz " Blue Bull"......and Molson Canadian and I like Disarrono , even though it's not beer. I also like fine wines.
