i've just get my first BP :) the buyer said, this is the best super pastel that he has now it hatch on the first of August 09

But my problem is ... is it really the super pastel ? why superpastel has orange like this and if it's not! Who is he? i try to search in many site and check it... why he look like jungle? / ghost? / ......
who is he?

i really don't understand !

Looks like a SPOG to me.

Looks like a ghost to me, but could easily be a super, not really sure. Gorgeous little thing though, congrats!:gj:

There is nothing there to indicate that it may be an Orange Hypo.

I think he is a SPOG also..for sure it has super pastel.......and the fading on the body throws me with ghost also..

Looks super to me, and almost like SPOG. Hmm, try to wait til it shed, check if its clear, then probably you have an SPOG there. Nevertheless, that's one hot snake!:)

A spog is super pastel orange ghost..

I see a super pastel.

Not many breeders would mistake a double-co-dom recessive for a double co-dom, especially if it's shed a couple of times.

It's a super pastel. The first few pics all look washed out in general, making the snake look sort of like a SPOG, but in the one decent photo it looks like a nice super pastel.

SP = Super Pastel

SPOG = Super Pastel Orange Ghost as in a combo morph Super Pastel being 1 morph and Orange Ghost (AKA hypo) being the 2nd

so It would having to look like it has Ghost in it. look at pictures of ghosts, best way, know the parents and compare offspring. but they do look pretty different

and I agree with people saying its just a Super Pastel

Hmmm the lighting is a bit off for me to make a definitive decision. The last post with pictures is probably the best because the top picture seems to have the best lighting/hue, it looks like a super pastel, but the second picture with the pastel shows how "ghostly" it is.

I'm just having an incredibly hard time believing that the breeder thinks it's a super pastel if it is indeed a SPOG! :confused: Maybe sperm retention, or the breeder didn't have a clue???

I don't see ghost it at all in the last pics, just a sweet super pastel :P

I agree, very nice super pastel. The earlier pics did look kind of hypoish, but the black tones in that last set of pics are too dark for it to be hypo IMHO. Incredible animal with great color all the same. :banana:

Here is what Big Gunns "doesn't understand". Why people keep buying snakes from breeders then after they bought them, they question what the breeder told them. If you have a question....don't buy it.

Now in this case maybe you thought you were getting a "steal"...... since a SPOG(dumbest name ever) is worth more.

It looks like a Super to BG, although it could be an uglier "dumbest name ever". It does have a kinda leeetle "ghosty hue" to it. You may want to try and breed it with something that has the ghost gene in the future.

There are way worse names in the pipeline because of the OG tag. :rolleyes:

Lesser orange ghost = LOG
Desert orange ghost = DOG
Burgundy albino orange ghost = BOG
Harlequin orange ghost = HOG
And the woma orange ghost is simply going to have to be renamed I'm sorry. :mad:

But I do kind of like the idea of the zebra pastel orange ghost - all hail the mighty ZOG. :bow: :bow: :bow:
