Cut some eggs............WOW!

I cut some eggs over the weekend and this is what I found

WOW pretty cool I'd love to see mom and dad. :D

It looks AWESOME! What is it? Make sure you post pics when it is out of the egg!

EDIT: And I agree with the frogman... pics of mom & dad would be cool too! :D

I bred A normal female to a Nerd pastel and this was the result. The female had six eggs and all six look like this. I cut the eggs on friday and I still haven't seen a head pop out yet. I will take more pictures when they peep or come out. If they come out. I can't explain it. The male bred other females for me that have hatched and apear to be normal looking.

call the breeder you got your pastel from and see if there is anything else behind it

either that or your female has something going on

WOW, lucky you!

I cut the eggs on day 60. The male pastel wasn't bought directly from nerd. I bought the pastel off of kingsnake two years ago. The female I bought at @1600 grams from a friend of mine Jason Z. The female was bred and raised by him and is a result of a normal to a normal.

Something about this is really bothering me..
I don't know, but ALL six eggs look just like this? And it was a normalxpastel? It's like.. how can you get 100% odds on something unknown like that?
I feel like the downer here... but could this be the result of an incubation problem or underdevelopment?

I'm not trying to put you down man, I really hope that this is what we think it is! If it's not, it's going to devastate you and all of us. :[

I agree, something very odd going on if all six look like that. It looks like I would think a spider axanthic would look while still in the egg. But I'd really need to see it out before I could make any judgements. If it comes out in good shape, it should be pretty exciting.

oh my gosh insane snakes man that is nuts i mean wow what the heck how in the world does that happen. hopefully they all come out in top notch shape you have some money makers on your hands i am sure alot of the top breeders would want something like that in thier collection man if i only had the money...

I can't wait to see these snakes out of the eggs, I'd also love to see pictures of the parents. I'm curious how this was produced from a normal to pastel. The odds of them both happening to be carrying that recessive gene especially with the mother being from a "normal to normal" pairing baffles me. I'm very curious to see the babies!

We need an update. 6/6 crazy babies make absolutely no sense here. Did you incubate these on top of a microwave or something? :)

Looks like you might have cut a bit early. Any updates? I would gander a guess thats the reason they look like they do....

What temp did you incubate at? They look like the color hasn't developed yet. Day 60 should be ready to pip though unless you had low incubation temps..

He said he cut at day sixty on Friday 8-1. They should be half way to their first shed by now.:confused::confused::confused:

I'll echo the previous requests for additional pics when they hatch.

It's possible that the parents were both hetrozygous for some hidden recessive trait, and that he just hit incredible odds.

It's also possible that he is hiding his secret to success... who can blame him...

They look to me like a couple of underdevoloped babies. Susan's spider clutch had one in there that looked similar to these...check them out in this thread.
